Youth Angler Academy

Through our Youth Angler Academy we offer opportunities for students of any skill level, from the beginner to the advanced, as well as for the competitive middle and high school angler. We provide clinics, workshops, and camps, as well as individual lessons that include on-the-water angler development. We offer instruction on different species of fish, fishing techniques and equipment, electronics, lures, and more.

-Individual Angler Development-

Individual lessons are provided for students in 5th-12th grades who seek to enhance their current skills and learn more about specific species, techniques, lures, and equipment. These lessons are from the bank at a local body of water. We provide the necessary equipment and tackle, but students can bring their own equipment or tackle that they want to learn to use or get additional practice with.

  • Registration Fee: $50.00 for 2 hour lesson - $75.00 for 4 hour lesson

- Beginner Fishing Clinics -

A four-hour fishing clinic for students in 1st-8th grades that is perfect for the beginner angler. We host the clinic outdoors in a group setting at a local body of water. Instruction is provided as students get hands-on experience with the basics of fishing. Topics include knot tying, rigging up a fishing pole, casting, baiting a hook, fish handling, and more. Students will also fish for different species that may include sunfish, bass, catfish, and trout. No experience is required and we provide all necessary equipment. Students may bring their own fishing equipment. Please watch the “Our Events” tab for upcoming workshops or contact us to register.

  • Registration fee: $50.00 per student and includes a fishing pole to take home.

- Advanced Angler Workshops -

Students in 5th-12th grades receive instruction and practice through workshops on various topics. Workshops may be in a classroom setting, at a body of water, or a combination of both. Our workshops allow students to gain valuable experience and develop their knowledge and skill. We provide the necessary fishing equipment or students may bring their own. Please watch the “Our Events” tab for upcoming workshops or contact us to register.

  • Registration includes instruction, use of fishing equipment, and a Youth Angler Academy t-shirt.

    • Registration fee:

      • 2 hour workshop = $50.00 per student.

      • 3 hour workshop = $75.00 per student.

- Advanced Angler Development -

Individual lessons for students in 6th-12th grades that seek to learn and develop their skills. Your student will join us on the boat for a trip that will provide valuable experience on the water. Students will practice specific techniques using various lures and learn how to read and understand fish finding electronics. They will have the opportunity to prepare a game plan based on seasonal and weather patterns while making on-the-water adjustments. Individual lessons range from 4-6 hours on the water.

  • Registration includes instruction, use of specialized equipment, and helps cover the cost of travel and fuel expenses.

    • Registration fee:

      • 4 hour lesson = $200.00.

      • 6 hour lesson = $300.00.
